Privacy Policy

Dan Micciche Studio ("the Studio," "we," "us"), operated by Hit It Productions, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through studio.danmiccichemusic.com and the Dan Micciche Studio mobile app (together, the "Portal") and our related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account and contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Onboarding materials: your headshot, resume, links to performance videos, and the goals or background you share with us.
- Scheduling and session preferences you submit through the Portal.
- Payments: all payments to the Studio are processed by Stripe, on Stripe's own secure payment pages. This covers session billing, studio membership, and Fast Feedback, whether you buy on the web or in our app. We receive confirmation of your purchases and your contact details. We never collect or store your full card number; we store a Stripe customer reference, the card's brand and last four digits as Stripe reports them, and the date you authorized billing. Fast Feedback purchases made before September 2026 were processed by Square, and we retain the order references from those purchases.
- Your agreement to our payment terms: when you agree to them on Stripe's payment page, Stripe records that agreement with the payment. Where you agree inside our app instead, such as to a recurring membership charge, we store the version of the terms you saw, the price you were shown, and the date and time.
- Membership: if you join studio membership, we store its status, plan, renewal date, and a record of the terms and the price you agreed to, with the date and time you agreed.
Information created through coaching:
- Lesson recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries of your sessions, used to provide your recaps and analysis.
- Fast Feedback videos we record and share with you.
Session recording and use of AI
Coaching sessions are recorded (audio and, for virtual sessions, video where applicable) so we can produce your transcript, recap, and coaching analysis. These recordings are processed by a third-party recording and transcription provider (Fireflies) and analyzed using an artificial-intelligence model (Anthropic's Claude) to generate written summaries and coaching notes. AI-generated content is created to support your coaching and is reviewed in the context of the studio's work with you; it may contain errors and is not a substitute for your coach's direct guidance. Fast Feedback responses are recorded by your coach and hosted on Vimeo.
By using the Portal and attending coaching sessions, you acknowledge that your sessions may be recorded and processed as described. If you do not wish to have a session recorded, let your coach know before the session begins. We do not use your recordings, transcripts, or submitted materials to train third-party AI models.
Information collected automatically:
- Approximate location (city/region/country) derived from your IP address at sign-up, and basic usage information needed to operate and secure the Portal.
- App notification tokens: if you allow notifications, the app registers an anonymous device token with our push provider so we can send you session recaps, scheduling reminders, and billing notices. It identifies a device, not you, and turning notifications off in the app or in your device settings stops its use.
- The app version and platform your device is running, so we can support you and deliver the right updates.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve coaching services; schedule and manage your sessions; create and deliver your session recaps, analyses, and Fast Feedback; communicate with you about your account, sessions, and studio updates; process payments and manage your membership; and maintain the security and integrity of the Portal.
SMS / Text Messaging
If you provide your mobile phone number through our intake form, we use it to send a one-time text message containing a link to download the Dan Micciche Studio app, and — once you are a client — to send sign-in verification codes you request. Message frequency varies by use (one message per inquiry; verification codes only when you request them). Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Studio, under agreements that require them to protect it. These include providers for scheduling (Calendly), session recording and transcription (Fireflies), feedback video hosting (Vimeo), email delivery (Resend) and email communications (MailerLite), text messages and sign-in codes (Twilio), push notification delivery (Expo, and through it Apple and Google), all payment processing (Stripe), and our application and database hosting (Replit / Supabase). Fast Feedback purchases made before September 2026 were processed by Square. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
How your card is handled
The Studio does not store your card details. Your card is collected and stored solely by Stripe, a third-party PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. Your details go straight to Stripe. We hold only the fact that a card exists, never the number: a customer reference, the card's brand and last four digits as Stripe reports them, and the date on which you authorized billing.
No payment is ever taken inside our app, and nothing in our app or on this site asks you for a card number. Purchases open Stripe's own payment pages in your browser.
You can update or remove your card at any time from My Profile. Removing a card stops future automatic charges but does not waive charges already incurred. Because your card is held by the third-party processor rather than by the Studio, you are responsible for removing your saved card: deleting your Studio account removes the data the Studio holds, and you should confirm that your card has been removed through your profile and, where applicable, with the processor.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information (see "Your choices").
Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of non-essential email communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. To make a request, email hello@danmiccichemusic.com.
Children's privacy
The Portal is intended for adult students. If a student is a minor, a parent or guardian should manage their account and consent to this policy. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you.
